Marble Run by @mindwaretoys. I have used this toy countless times during OT sessions so I KNEW my kids needed to own a set. Again, I am all about open ended types of toys and this is as open ended as it GETS! You can literally make endless variations and warning: Kids from as young as 1 to adults (ahem...my husband) can get deeply lost in this game. .
For the younger ones (12-18 months) this is a great game for: visual tracking, postural stability/trunk strength (getting up and down), hand strength (pulling apart pieces) and coordination (putting pieces together), and visual motor coordination. For the older kiddos like my Chanel this works on: spatial skills, problem solving, and visual motor coordination. Let me just end by saying that this would make a GREAT Father’s Day present. I am dead serious! I don’t remember the last time my husband played with both my kids for that long. It’s a win win for everyone, including mom who just likes to watch.
