WHOLE BODY WORKOUT
Whole Body Workout: Do you have a LO that is constantly moving and on-the-go? Or how about a LO who is more fearful to try new things and is a bit wobbly? Well this is activity is perfect for both kids but for very different reasons!
For the on-the-go child: It’s all about proprioception. Huh? What’s that? Proprioception is all about being able to feel the joints and muscles in your body. The more resistive the activities are, the more input your body is given, providing an organizing and calming input. Yes! For our kids that seek a lot of movement, resistive movements like bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, hanging and carrying ALL lead to a more organized state of arousal. Get their jitters out!
For the wobbly child: This type of activity builds muscles. And building muscles, increases body awareness, which leads to better balance and coordination.
Kind of wild right? The same EXACT activity can benefit two very different type of kiddos.
